I guess for me it's not so much if it's carefully inserted, once in a blue moon, but like I said those who are doing it every other second--- it grates my nerves something fierce.
Not to mention the fact that even though Tunisia is " free" now .. At the first sign of trouble she can high tail it to the US Embassy and Tunisians don't have that ability ....
I guess it just bothers me because she's screaming at a soldier. Like she doesn't have the ability to differentiate between what the police have done and what the soldiers have done. The only thing I can possibly make sense out of it is that those soldiers were protecting the Kasbah where some of the police believed to have shot tear gas at the mosque were being questioned... others said the cops ran inside like chickens - either way I dunno after seeing what the Tunisian military has done throughout I don't believe they deserve to have their faces screamed in. I wonder if she is part Tunisian but the only Arabic I heard her say was 'goul' and 'wallah' She turns to the guy with her and says goul ..(tell them/ say) and then all English.... I dunno
I can't stop replaying it haha! Crazy woman! I think she's 100% American but has lived there long enough that she she can wrist-flick, "wallah" and holler like the best of them hahaaha
Totally agree and it's only ever wallah, inchallah and hamdoullah.....it's the only 3 words they ever seem bothered to learn!
Hi Everyone after a long day at work i love visiting this site and read all your comments . Funny you wrote about the hand gestures i done this at work today to see my work mates what tunisians do when they get road rage and we were laughing about this also i showed the hand/finger movement to tell others you are tired . I love the Tunisians (not the love rats).
i'm an enschalla guy myself, i never get it done...anything when im there. i only walla when im really, really mad. mad. and that's not much.
I use the inchallah quite often, very practical when making fake promises you're sure not to stand up to ! Like "tomorrow I'll visit you inchallah", knowing that I will never set a foot in the house of that person... Sometimes I'm bad....
