    Hi Water, welcome here!

I can understand that it tis difficult to have such a relationship if you're in the USA! Even from Europe it's difficult, and USA is much further and more expensive!
Did you talk about that also with your boyfriend how to continue? How does hee see that and wants that?

The :ben: thing was an old smiley or emoticon from the old website before it was all transfered here and we were given new smileys, the :ben: one was simply a :D

Sorry to pick this bit out of your post but this jumped out at me.....if he was born in France then he would have a French nationality along with Tunisian (presuming of course that his parents are Tunisian) so therefore he would not require a visa to return there...he could literally go whenever he wants as he would have as much rights in France as he does in Tunisia.

    Hi Water,

Dragonzest quoted and responded already an important part I have to say....

Please keep harder so you really stand on your feet! LOL

When he is born in France he has the French Nationality, so he's free to go wherever he wants to go.
If his father or mother has Tunisian nationality, it will say he has double nationality French and Tunisian, but he's free to go than aswell where he wants to go, doesn't need a visa at all, so all those things about refusing visa etc. are sorry to say....bullshit.
Or he isn't born in France.
So one way or the other way, he lied to you, I'm sorry.

OK let's pretend he's not born in France, than his father with a good job working and living there, would get him a visa!
    So what trying?
Ask your boyfriend how many times he did get refused for a visa and for what reason!

Good, get to know him first very well!
I don't like it when they start right away about getting married.......Alarm Bell....

How many times in which period did you hear it from him that he did get refused and why?

But if he get a visa fro France, that will not say that he can go to the USA!

Sorry but I'm not convinced that he's telling the truth, see above, so I'm not sure it's only love from his side.

You really make me smile by saying this, I like that way of thinking! :)

You have no reason to excuse yourself, how more you say, how more clear it is for us.
But allways keep in your mind that everyone in the world can read this.

    Take care!

that's up front. (seeing the bc) could you read the french? i'd of copied that. normally women, way down the road in relationships with tunisian guys, go looking for this. if you happened to copy it, 3 extra points for you !!!! if it was the tunisian certificate, good for you. :D nour seems to think it's been changed too. citizen of france from birth now maybe...

Where did you had a look for the information you find?
And because he is born in France, the french immigration law is not for him, that is if you don't have french Nationality!
Why did he get send back to Tunisia when he was 9?

This is what I found, what I post here is more easy to read than the law things but it's exactly like the law is saying:

Here are all the offenses that can get you to lose your French Nationality:
    • All foreign origin person who voluntary tried to kill a depositary of public authority (police officers for example; they certainly do not deserve to be killed, no one does but French police deserve to go back to school and learn some manners. They are full of themselves, arrogant and ignorant (bad mixture), and lazy coward. We caught some police officers stealing (images) on live camera last year Dec 9, I hope they are looking for another nationality now… )
    • People of foreign origin who practices Polygamy as it’s forbidden in France (I rather be a Polygamist than being Gay, ewwwww)
    • An act of sabotage towards the nation (fair enough, they should be left rotting in blablabla Island [IMG] )
    • An act of terrorism (don’t see the difference with sabotage but there we go again, how about big countries oppressing small countries from other continent? what is the internal institution doing about them? It’s also called terrorism… )
    • Evade national service code (in the army), well some of them do have a brain after all, invading Afghanistan for no reason for example!!)
    • Public function officers abusing their authority, corrupt, detrimental of public administration (common are you having a joke, yes they should be punished but end of story)
    • Practicize the excision of a girl (that’s diabolic, get them out!!!)
    • Be a Spy (definitely for it)
    • Advocate his other nationality (so what, just make him proud then. What’s left for foreigners to fight for in their country? Still you, you, you…)
    • Divorce under a year (obviously this should be raised to under 5 years, too many scams. Marriage is special and shouldn’t be used as a business, the world is going mad )
    • If a French national living abroad makes a request for his nationally to be taken away.

it still sounds a nice love STORY not bad for a tunie
  17. NetNiet Well-Known Member

    LOL I'm NetNiet ;)

If he's born in France, he has the French Nationality.
Because his father is Tunisian, he will have the Tunisian Nationality aswell

He did only loose his french Nationality in case of see my earlier post.

France: France's 1993 citizenship and nationality reform (known as the Méhaignerie Act, after Pierre Méhaignerie) changed French law to no longer confer citizenship upon the children of non-citizens at birth. Instead, individuals born in France to non-citizens must request French citizenship when they come of age (16 in France).
He is older than 18 I think? so this will in no case at all refer to him!

I did had a look with the information in my formal post in the Franch law and than searched for an easier reading version.

    Water, when is he born?
And his mother is from Algeria isn't it?
    When is she born?
  24. NetNiet Well-Known Member

Hi Water, maybe you can ask? Maybe I did find something what can help.
I need the exact date from his mother , not only the year
  25. NetNiet Well-Known Member

English is not my first language so it's a little bit difficult to explain because it are law things, if it will help I will do offcourse, but if the date from his mother doesn't help, than I'm not going to try! LOL
