Hi @LetGo, first of all there are lovely people in tunisia not all of them are rats. Did you read the whole thread or do you react to a single post? Tunisia is more than hotels and rats. Some women need more time to see the difference between a good man or a scammer. Some women need to find out by themselves.
We all know how rats are or how they are masters to convince us they are honest men.

I am still currently talking to him. Their ship is in Europe and he went and got a SIM card so he could video call with me. He’s been really kind to me and still hasn’t raised any red flags to me..

I actually went back to Tunisia on 18th March for 9 days on my own and stayed in a hotel.
I was worried being so close that I would cave and want to see him.
I met some great people at the hotel and shared some of my story. They were amazing and kept me busy, took me out of the hotel which I was very nervous at doing, I took them round the medina and to monastir.
Doing all that made me proud, made me really see that I got this.
I have the freedom to go there and be me, I have the freedom to go anywhere I want, the freedom to do what I want when I want.
Made me see and appreciate I really do have a much better life and don’t need him.
he has lost a chance if a better life, he lost his job at the hotel he had worked at for 5 + years, he lost so much more than I ever will
Of course it’s going to take me time to really recover but I’ve made a great start to my healing process.
I won’t allow him to stop me

Well done!! Like so many others he threw away what could have been a good life. Now, you can have that good life yourself and be happy. You certainly don't need him.

The good life to him was to live in England. That’s what he wanted as he said it was a good life.
So when I say he lost his chance of a good life I mean he lost his chance to be in England.
Yes also money as that’s what the plan was. To use me for sex, money and visa.

Will do! I really have just been keeping on my toes with everything but still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. I am actually taking a cruise from a different ship that will be in the same areas as him in a month, so we planned on meeting up and grabbing some food and just walking around together. I’m hoping to just get to know him a little better and see where I stand with things. I can’t say that I’m not hopeful though.. although he’s a little older, he just seems much more mature and open than most guys my age. Crossing my fingers. HARD. Thanks for the advice. Because we have recently had many problems with rats joining and making inapropriate posts anyone with a Tunisian IP address must have their posts approved by admin.

We do not consider every Tunisian to be bad we are simply taking steps to stop those who are from posting inappropriate comments and causing distress to other memvers..
Provided comments are appropriate they are approved, the only inconvenience is that some members posts are delayed slughtly before showing on the forum.

However, if I was a Tunisian living in Tunisia and knowing that I was getting a bad name for the actions of evil rats, I would do something about it. Tunisians know this is going on in their country but they do NOTHING! So, until one or more stands up for their country and fix this problem, they are all guilty. And NO, you don't need more time to see the difference between good and evil, they all are!

Yes, I read all the comments & yeah I had and still have my doubts. But doesn’t everyone deserve the slightest sliver of hope? I know a lot if not all the people on this forum have gone through something with a rat, and it honestly breaks my heart because no one deserves that. But also, how would you feel being treated like you were just a rat searching for money, a new place to live, etc. just because it’s what some people from your country are doing. I guarantee there’s many more good men and women in Tunisia than there are rats. He doesn’t need me to get into the US. He doesn’t need my money, I really don’t even have any (which he knows) hahaha. My point is, I’ve decided to give him the benefit of the doubt in the situation, and I think that when people are kind to you that they deserve just the smallest chance to prove that.

Asking that particular member for her approval was a very rare occurance. She was a new member who was particularly distressed at that time and had been lied to and abused by a number of tunisians, not just her rat.
Your reply to her was about translating personal messages from those people and we just wanted to check with her that she was happy to trust those messages to you.

It was a courtesy message to you to explain why those particular replies could take longer to approve than normal.

Yes, bezness happens in many countries but this website is about Tunisian beznesers (rats) and so most of the rats on here are Tunisian.

We do occasionaly have members join who's rats are from other countries that are also well known for bezness.
In those instances we would also make restrictions on new members joining from that particular country as they are likely to be rats joining to manipulate and/or be abusive to the victim.

Yes, many rats have achieved their goal to obtains visas to non-bezness countries, such as France, so they can be anywhere. However, as nationals from those countries are more likely to be victims than rats, we only limit their first 3 posts to approval as a precaution.

We want to encourage those who are curious and/or want to help but the sad fact is that (history has shown) the vast majority of tunisian IPs who join here are rats wanting to create even more distress.. Therefore, our only option is to briefly delay their posts for approval.

We can only hope that those kind and respectful members posting from tunisia understand why.

Bezness happens in a lot of countries not only in Tunisia. You can't blame an entire country for the actions of rats.
I don't think it's that easy for honest tunisians to go after rats. Some did warn women and get beaten up by the rat or his friends if their bezness is outed.
And YES I do see the difference between good and bad but I fail to understand why an entire country should be blamed for rats.
It's the government of Tunisia who should warn women for their bezness men and do something about it.

Well said Imj; the Rats call it "the good life" Mourad, I Personally call it a "life" where we have to work and not having to worry about political unrest or our energy supply cut off for a certain time however food prices in the UK have rocketed, taxes and just about everything that we took for granted, having said that we are starting to feel the "shock waves" of World economy, I'm sorry to say that Tunisia is feeling it now more than ever and these TLR having met us and then show us so much disrespect taking advantage of hour good nature they lost that opportunity to make their lives a bit easier, this is referred to as losing the "opportunity of a good life" for themselves and maybe their families however they got GREEDY in the process!!
