Here's for Ahmed, pictures of our dog, it's a Belgian shepherd.
Noa in Europe, happy as always :
Belgian shepherds are the sweetest dogs, they love to play, need a lot of space and movement and are the best guardians ever! This one would defend me with his life! And I would do the same for him... Noa had a training at the Police School in my country, so he listens very well to commands.
he's cute ,it's true belgian shepards are very playful friendly and energetic i've allways wanted to have one i just dont know where to find them. i run often and i'd like a nice dog for company. many sellers on the internet claims that they have the pure race, but most of them are faking. i been decieved once and dont want to go through it again.
We got Noa from a private person in Belgium and as we had seen the parents, we wanted a lookalike of them. Noa doesn't have a pedigree, but he turned out to be a true 100% Belgian shepherd. He is sleeping in our bedroom from since he was a small puppy. Now he is a terror to most inhabitants of our tunisian village (even the local vet is afraid of him)...don't know why, because he's really sweet and listens very well to commands. As for tresspassers...they will maybe get in but will never get out of our property again! These dogs also never leave their master, they don't run away and are generally in very good health. Noa got bitten by a scorpion once, he was tired and criple for one day, but the next morning as healthy as ever.
In the desert he does naturally his shepherd thing : gathering the camels and keeping them together by running around them in circles. A really funny sight. We have to make him stop doing this, because he gathers in the troop whatever camel wanders by, without disctinction of owner.
In Tunisia you won't find a pure race Belgian or German shepherd Ahmed, not even with the police or the army, their dogs are all mixtures, mostly of a German shepherd with some other race. We had already many many requests for our Noa becoming father of mixed race puppies, but we always refused, as a shepherd without a good education can become a dangerous killing machine (cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, children...) and as we know that most Tunisians don't take care of nor train properly their dog (apart of ugly dogs combat training), no use to look for problems. Also this kind of dog needs daily minimum 300 gr of meat in order to keep his good health, don't think many Tunisians will give him that. By just eating only the leftovers of human food, this kind of dog will never develop a good body nor a perfect health.
Ha ha...lovin it>>>>
thanks laurance those were valuable informations. i'll look for more available species... also smaller haha i'm thinking of a staff dog. they dont turn agressive as long as you dont teach them to.
Totally out of context here!! But Larry Le Prise The man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died today at the age of 93..The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. The trouble started when <<<<<<< They put his left leg in ...............
