what with the new summer season coming up I was wondering if there is a thread on here where we could put the names to the test. This may not be ethical.... I dont know . But what if I were to name a tunisian man- and see if anyone else knows him - or if anyone else has 'encountered' him. Im not suggesting all of the guys are playing games - but perhaps if we were bold enough to name the guy we met and fell for - would we find out a few of us have fallen for the same guy I wonder?

Hi Susie, I take it you mean if you're unsure whether the guy is a rat or not? I guess if you have a person in mind and want to find out if anyone else 'knows' him, then that's your call :). The only thing to bear in mind is that there may be difficult repercussions - you must weigh up any information gleaned from other persons against your own evaluation of the guy and of your relationship. There are so many variables - not least that of time (i.e. someone may have been rat-like in the past, but may have genuine feelings for someone in the present) Some people don't advise with good intentions (though, it has to be said, most regular members here have no axes to grind!), so information can be loaded with another person's baggage! That said, if a person feels the need to 'test' their partner, then that usually indicates that they have doubts of their own already!

If you want to ask the question, then I personally don't see the harm as long as you're clear about what to do with any information that may or may not come your way :) xxx

Susie, Woody gave you excellent advice. There is nothing wrong in naming a guy to see what information comes up, but you have to be prepared to deal with whatever you find out. As Woddy said, some of the information could be old and outdated. I think that there are a lot of guys (of all nationalities) who used to be players or rats when they were younger, but most of them grow out of it and go on to fall madly in love with a women whom they would not dare thinking of hurting.

Arming yourself with information is always best. But you must also keep things in context (did it happen in the past? Is it something that is going on now? Is he still like this or has he changed? etc).

Well I think it's also a good way to find out if some girls are dating the same guy. Not that the guys we mention are proven to be rats (yet...?) but just to check. Maybe it's an idea to just give initials and if we have a match we can discuss further (i.e. first name, where he lives, works, age, etc.)

I'll start of with my bf, his initials are M.K. ::AngeL::

(please don't reply with OMFG so are my bf's! :D)

I would be highly surprised if anyone knows my hubby. Even though he works in the tourism field, he has very minimal contact with people.

    His initials are:
    First name: Y
    Last name: H

    Does anybody know a RAMZI

I know of a couple of Ramzis, both in PEK (it's a common name though!). Haven't seen one of them in a while (small guy with short hair, used to work in Soviva), and the other is tall and works in a quad bike hire place (or used to).
