For whatever reason, I was reading about the Sousse attacks today, especially the story of the two fiances. It's really tragic. I also wonder how the survivors are doing.

Changed safety instructions of the German Embassy - Medical Information
5 April 2019 Editors 1740 Views Federal Foreign Office, Measles, Security Advice

The Foreign Office in Germany has updated the medical information for Tunisia. Also, due to the measles that are currently occurring in Tunisia in some places, which has already claimed fatalities, a measles vaccine for adults and children when traveling to Tunisia is strongly recommended.

Below is an excerpt from the travel and safety information for Tunisia (as of 5 April 2019)

In January 2019, WHO declared a lack of vaccine protection against measles as a threat to global health. A review and, if necessary, supplementation of the vaccination against measles for adults and children is therefore strongly recommended at the latest in the travel preparation.

I don’t know if anyone here is watching the events in Algeria, Libya and Egypt?

I will post some links because it should have greater and lesser effects on Tunisia.

Tunisia - Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution

    OT

Exercise increased caution in Tunisia due to terrorism. Some areas have increased risk. Read the entire Travel Advisory.

    Do not travel to:

    • Within 30 km of southeastern Tunisia along the border with Libya due to terrorism.
    • Mountainous areas in the country’s west, including the Chaambi Mountain National Park area, due to terrorism.
    • The desert south of Remada due to the military zone.
    • Jendouba south of Ain Drahem and west of RN15, El Kef, and Kasserine, next to the Algerian border due to terrorism.
    • Sidi Bou Zid in central Tunisia due to terrorism.
Terrorist groups continue plotting possible attacks in Tunisia. Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, museums, resorts, hotels, festivals, nightclubs, restaurants, religious sites, markets/shopping malls, government facilities and security forces.

A country-wide state of emergency, which grants security forces more authority to maintain civil order and enables the government to focus on combating terrorism, is in effect.
