I've never heard men calling each other habibi to be honest - but maybe you are right. Irrespective of that, the context is between a man and a woman and there are other very clear romantic declarations which indicate that this is more than a friendship. I know this must be gut-wrenchingly awful for you SarahJaney but you must take notice of this and not be quick to excuse or dismiss it - you might have a guardian angel watching over you who is about to save you from an even worse heartache - please heed the warning xxx

Thank you. Yes I know that's why I have come on here to see if I can get it translated. She has called him rou7i many times and I know this is not good. But the conversation is so long and I am sure they speak of me so I really need to know the whole conversation.
I keep checking back here every minutes to see if anyone can help, lol.

We are here with you - and all of us want the very best for you. Could you PM me and/or Browngirl the conversation (as moderators), I might be able to pick some sentences out and we can maybe think of a trusted Tunisian contact to give us more of an accurate translation for your peace of mind xxx

I hope I am wrong too, but the conversation is very long and the Tunisian girl calls him habibi and hobi quite a bit. I know in Tunisia they all call each other habibi even the men to other men. But I need to know if they speak about me and what the intentions are. I think they went to school together, but im not positive.
I really wish there was someone on here who call help with the translation today :-(

Hi Sarah Janey,
I'm feeling sorry for you by reading this thread. Indeed, it doesn't sound too good. :(
But as far as I know from an Iraqi man, arabic people say habibi (my love) to their children or their parents too. I don't know if it's true for Tunisians too. And I don't know if they also say it to a girl with who they are only in friendship, but suspect that they don't. Maybe Tactfull can help you to understand their culture better.
Hoping that everithing will be clear for you after receiving the translation! I'm sending you hugs!
