Yeah mine was younger but it really seemed like we just fit probably a lot like you and yours but mine was exposed to a filthy rat so he was influenced by him a lot and learned a lot from him so he turned out like him a lying scamming pos! Not sure what your red flags are but just keep them in your mind you have to protect yourself no matter how nice he seems

@Moonshine What you have said has literally made me sick to my stomach because of how true it is. One thing my guy use to say and I never understood because I didn’t know about bezness but he’d say oh that other Tunisian guy is playing because the woman was old. Now I understand! He thinks he got away with it because I am young but not younger than him and I think he feels he accomplished something tricking me and the government essentially. They are evolving and learning new tactics and targeting vulnerable women of ALL ages and creeds bc immigration is slowly catching on.

I am glad he isn’t in my life but he is still affecting it however he can. I pray that soon this will be over because God only knows that I can only handle so much. The truth is realizing when it was too late that I was an investment and the “love” I thought they were giving was really a lie! A big fat lie! I am not the “typical” victim on the outside but like I’ve seen now that the blinders are off immigration is noticing small things such as age! @ScaredStraight2021 being educated about rats doesn't mean you can't fall for a rat. These rats are extremely convincing and in some ways they brainwash a woman. In my mind the woman isn't to blame for anything, she only fell in love and is desperate for his attention because as always the rats don't give her one moment to think about the situation. Rats keep the pressure on the woman untill she gives in.
I almost feel as though I shouldn’t respond to anything because almost everything is lost in translation somewhere. I wasn’t saying that just because you educate you won’t fall but EVERY WOMAN is different. For me if I would have known anything regarding this being “a thing” guys scamming women I would have been more cautious and looked for warning signs but if you don’t have a clue that this is a thing then you will just think your crazy because they will make you think that way. That was what I meant about educating yourself. I don’t blame women when it happens but if you seek help and refuse to even listen or put it in a memory bank then who is more responsible? Her or him? It is like you telling someone who drank and drive not to because they could kill someone. If they do what happens? They go to jail or worse they are dead. I was taught when you know better you should do better. Even if a woman ignores all the advice and support given to her and stays with a rat she is not responsible for it, maybe she is naïve or gullible but the full responsibility lies with the rat. He is the one who seeks out a relationship with the woman with the intention to scam her.
I agree people should live their lives and that is how I believe but contrary to what you have said I am speaking on terms of society. See that is the problem is WE know or atleast we know now but who WE are up against is the rest of the world who either turns their head knowingly or wants to blame us. Playing devils advocate because I am one who is going through it with family and friends. We have to prepare these ladies that this is the way almost of the world views us. When I joined here I had read alot on the open forum and I was ashamed, embarrassed and so angry I fell for a scammer. But it is what it is and I can't change anything about it no more.
